The Velocity of Money

The concept of monetary velocity is something few of us give much thought.  If we did, visions of economists debating the esoteric intricacies of monetary demand and supply and their supposed effects on the real world might come to mind.  This is probably a topic I would read about when suffering from insomnia and having to be at work early the next morning.
