Retirement Plans

On August 17th, 2006 President Bush signed the Pension Protection Act of 2006 (PPA), a comprehensive pension reform bill.  PPA not only includes many provisions that are designed to boost retirement savings in defined contributions plans, but also includes provisions that make permanent the retirement savings provisions that were part of the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001 (EGTRRA).  In order for retirement plans to be in compliance with this bill an amendment must be adopted as part of the plan document no later than December 31, 2009 (assuming a calendar year plan).

If you are currently relying on the prototype document services provided by Ascensus on behalf of First Clearing and have not already completed your Restatement Plan Document Questionnaire (PDQ), you need to download the appropriate amendment below.  You should review, sign and date a copy of the amendment before December 31, 2009.
